Habakuk 3:19 – For God Led Me Here. The Lord GOD is my strength, and He has made my feet like the feet of a deer, And makes me walk on my high places. – Habakkuk is not talking about a pleasant afternoon of rock climbing. He dreads what God has in store for him, he knows the path is very challenging, very dangerous. In that sense, God is leading him to a place he does not want to go. Yet God is his strength, and Habakkuk is confident that God will enable him to do what he could never do on his own.

Struggling with my emotions, that I need YOU Lord to sort out my thoughts and feelings, align them to your truth.

Why fear when God has already given you, in Christ, everything you need to be what you’re supposed to be and to do what you’re called to do? – Paul Tripp

My neighbor Kathy’s memorial stones – just the most precious legacy honoring her son, Nathan. She hand-paints hundreds (thousands?) of gold stones each September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and carefully arranges them along our walking path like gold confetti, a remembrance of these precious children. A privilege to walk among these memorials and think of / pray for their families.

Prayer submits to God’s plan. Prayer is not asking God to endorse and resource my plan for my life. Prayer is recognition that the One who made the world knows what is best for me. Prayer is not bringing my list to God and asking him to sign the bottom. Prayer is handing God a blank sheet that I have already signed and trusting him to fill it out as he sees fit. Prayer is laying down my idols and kneeling before God in humble and joyful worship. – Paul Tripp
