Auburn weekend with Joy and Hud, seeing their lives in 3D. Mostly good and some hard, and continued evidence that You care for them when we are so far away ~ even better than we would anyway

So many special people in Auburn who impact their lives

Permanent matching bracelets

And while we’re in Auburn – Father / daughter dates and Bran / Hannah dates 🙂

My walk scenery changes every single day. Spring has arrived

The gospel gives me the wherewithal to give forgiving grace to those who I feel have wronged me.

AMEN to this:  “God-remembering” – rests in the relief that although it may not look like it, your life is under the careful control of the One who defines wisdom, power, and love. In all of those moments when your life is out of your control, it is not out of his control. Rest is not to be found in your control but in God’s absolute rule over everything. You will never be in a situation, location or relationship that is not under his control. – Paul Tripp

Spring Break – a week off of work, with school closed, just such a great break

C’s conference on leadership

Bran’s creativity

Auburn and Baylor both making it to March Madness

Finding Essie’s prom dress – just lovely and classy. Now looking forward to seeing who you will provide for her date!

Lam 3:23-26 Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is they faithfulness.

I say to myself,  the Lord is my portion (He is our inheritance, our treasure, our security, that which we are allotted) therefore I will wait for him. The Lord is good to those who hope in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Answering several specific prayers this week, it’s almost uncanny. I just can’t believe how specific you’ve been – through circumstances, people, music, and your Word.

Not even home from DFW before Essie was asking about baseball games. No more this week, but she was up at baseball practice today, taking the opportunity with her new camera and lens. Taking pics tomorrow for Colleyville Covenant baseball team

Liv over yesterday, I missed her too. She is such a sweetheart. Beyond grateful for her friendship with Essie.

Corbin’s continual service – jumping in to help me with casseroles last night. He just never seems tired or discouraged.

Our crazy carpet fiasco! Corbin’s planning, comparing, purchasing and scheduling new carpet.

In my sadness, you are the Lifter of my Head. And you do it.

All the trips Corbin is planning / buying flights for, the privilege of attending these weddings

Keeping friends with boats close

Essie’s stunning prom dress. And a very fun prom date – we think!! Thank you, Lord, in advance for working out the details

For all the kids (really, all of us) – summer break will be good

Time with Daboo

Being married to Corbin

You are the Vinekeeper, and you keep tucking my in branches that go astray

First actual paid photography work – Christian at Colleyville Covenant

Krista’s encouragement, she just gives and gives

.

So many great people at SCS, really fun to see everyone yesterday after Spring Break

Convo with Maria yesterday, she is absolutely precious

That you meet our children and encourage them – in such unique ways, in their heart languages, in perfect timing

That Essie is sick and missing school the week of cheer tryouts – you know, Lord – thank you for going before her

StreamsJesus desires that we would be very specific in our requests, asking for something definite. Make your requests earnestly and specifically, if you desire definite answers. Be specific in your petitions. Dare to be specific with God.

Ben Carson at SCS again, truly a hero

That I can trust you to capture (STOP – RETRAIN) my thoughts, my words, my actions – let them all bring you glory, Lord

Zeph 3:17: The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you; He will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”

Dismantling my idols (some I didn’t even know I have)

What Young Life brings out in Hud

Streams: When God delays, he is not inactive. This is when he prepares his instruments and matures our strength. God is never in a hurry. He spends years preparing those he plans to greatly use, and never thinks of the days of preparation as too long long or boring.

And because laughter really is the best medicine

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles… 1 Chron 16:11-12
