This popping up on my phone. We knew even then she was all Joy
Valentines day at SCS – Christina, Kendra, Kelly, Brooke… I don’t even know who all was exactly responsible for making our teachers and staff feel the love, but it is a lot of work and really precious. This wasn’t an “SCS” thing, it was a small group of women “takeing care of our teachers” thing.
This is the mailbox just made me so happy! Especially that it’s from my Baylor friend, Laran ~ the Lord is so kind to keep winding all of our lives (and our kids’ lives) together over the years
Basden sending me sermon clips. That our kids are in church. No small thing, Lord. Thank you for this. Only you can perfectly guide, correct, and comfort them, especially as the older three live far away and are young adults. You know their heart languages, and you will “parent” them way more effectively than we could. Thank you for daily involvement in their lives, and that we can rest from home, even with hard things.
He always gives freely what we need to do what he’s called us to do. – Paul Tripp

Today is mine. Tomorrow is none of my business. – Elisabeth Elliott. My mantra the past few days, and has given me so much freedom. I can do today! I don’t even have to think about tomorrow. In fact, I’m taking my thoughts captive not to think about tomorrow. I am shielding my eyes and heart from even going ahead. Thank you, Lord, for being with us today but already handling tomorrow.

Good morning from Ruby
The gospel reveals to me the breathtaking glory and loveliness of God, and lures my heart away from self love and to Him instead. The more I behold God’s glory, the more lovely he appears to me, and the more self fades into the background like a former love interest who can no longer compete for my affections. – Gospel Primer
